Preventive Medicine 2009,
a national forum for physicians, healthcare professionals,
policymakers and other health professionals with interests dedicated to health
promotion, disease prevention and preventive medicine, invites proposals for
presentations on research, practice, training and policy activities. The
conference will present state-of-the art updates, innovations and new
perspectives in three major areas:
About Preventive Medicine 2009
Preventive
Medicine 2009, the annual meeting of the American
College of Preventive Medicine, is the leading annual gathering of physicians,
health professionals, health care organizations, government agencies, and others
committed to disease prevention and health promotion. In addition to the wealth
of knowledge that is presented during the program, Preventive Medicine
2009 also offers abundant opportunities for networking, scientific
updates, skill development, CME credits, policy discussions and career
development.
Suggested Topics for Submission
Submissions can cover any
preventive medicine and public health topic. Topics addressing the “value of
prevention” (e.g., cost-effectiveness, quality improvement, best practices in
prevention) aging through the lifespan, adolescent health, occupational
medicine/employee health and productivity, environmental health, and aerospace
medicine are encouraged. However, each submission must fall under one of the
three areas: public health practice; clinical preventive medicine and prevention
policy. If your program abstract crosses more than one of the three areas
above, please select the area you think best fits the program.
